Yoonsik Chico Park (b. 1998, Seoul; raised Russia, Greece, Poland, Serbia) is a Korean artist living and working in Abu Dhabi. Through performance, assemblage, and image, Yoonsik’s practice interrogates various boundaries and tensions in human life to ask how we could exist more meaningfully in a temporary, transient, and turbulent world. Utilizing found object, ritual, and repetition, his works have engaged with themes of remembrance, witnessing, and collective history. His most recent works use construction debris as metaphors for omitted histories and erasure, while his yearly site-specific performances incorporate autoethnography in staging reflections on cycles of life.

Yoonsik’s group exhibitions include Bygones, Project Space, NYUAD Art Gallery, Abu Dhabi, UAE (2025); Form 2024, CICA Museum, Gimpo, Republic of Korea (2024); ArtHaus, 526 W 114th St., Agora Digital Network, NYC, USA (2022). He has also presented practice-based research and screened his performances at Performance Studies international (PSi) 29, London, UK (2024); and College Art Association (CAA), 112th Annual Conference, Chicago, USA (2024).

Yoonsik is a recipient of the Salama bint Hamdan Emerging Artist Fellowship (2024), NYU Abu Dhabi’s Post-Graduation Research Fellowship (2023), and holds a BA in Philosophy from NYU Abu Dhabi (2023) where he studied Philosophy & Theater.
