Yoonsik Chico Park (b. 1998, Seoul) is a Korean artist living and working in Abu Dhabi. Yoonsik’s practice examines objects and people as vessels of memory to investigate the transient and turbulent cycles of life and death. Working site-specifically and incorporating autobiographical accounts onto everyday ritual, historical events, and found material, he engages with themes of remembrance, spirituality, and collective identity through performance, image, and object. His recent works utilize liminal spaces to invite introspection on the silence and absence that follows death.

Yoonsik’s group exhibitions include Bygones, Project Space, NYUAD Art Gallery, Abu Dhabi, UAE (2025); Form 2024, CICA Museum, Gimpo, Republic of Korea (2024); ArtHaus, 526 W 114th St., Agora Digital Network, NYC, USA (2022). His practice-based research has been presented at Performance Studies international (PSi) 29, London, UK (2024); and College Art Assocation (CAA), 112th Annual Conference, Chicago, USA (2024).

Yoonsik is a recipient of the Salama bint Hamdan Emerging Artist Fellowship (2024), NYU Abu Dhabi’s Post-Graduation Research Fellowship (2023), and holds a BA in Philosophy from NYU Abu Dhabi (2023) where he studied Philosophy & Theater.
